Participant Information

Who can join

The participants of this study tour will consist of master students Innovation Management (IM), Operations Management & Logistics (OML) and Healthcare in Operations Management & Logistics. Also, master students BIS and CME and pre-master students for all above mentioned master programs can participate. All students who are subscribed at one of these master programs in February 2012 can participate in the study tour.

The role of participants in preparation phase

Participants will participate in research conducted for organizations in the Netherlands. They will also join a subcommittee to support the board of the IRP 2012 in organizing the trip. Also workshops and/or (fun) activities will be organized for participants. These activities, as well as being a member of a subcommittee, are a good opportunity to get to know the other participants before the trip starts.

Departure and return dates

The trip will take place in July 2012. The intention is to depart a few days after the examination period has ended (i.e. between Monday 9 July and Friday 13 July). The trip will end about 3 weeks after departure.

It is possible to travel back immediately after the study tour of 3 weeks. However, we also provide the opportunity to return later, so that you can explore more of Asia. Each participant has the choice of extending the trip with 1 week. Maybe, you will also get the chance to extend the trip with 2 weeks. The way you fill in this period is entirely up to you! We do need to know your return date at short notice, so that we can make a flight booking.

Payment agreement

When you are selected for the IRP 2012, you will have to sign a contract in which you agree to pay €1500,- before the trip. If we have funds left after the trip, a refund of maximally €1000,- will be given. However, we cannot give any guarantees regarding the refund. The amount that will be refunded depends on the amount of funds we will raise during our contract research.
You don’t have to pay the €1500,- at once, it is possible to do so in terms. The possible refund will be given after the trip.
